Vitality follows the standard UK PMI approach — pre-existing conditions are typically excluded from cover. The notable exception is mental health, where Vitality includes up to 8 sessions of pre-existing mental health support as part of core cover. Through the Vitality app. You earn points for an online health review (up to 100), a Vitality Healthcheck at a partner pharmacy (up to 600), parkrun (8 per event), gym visits (5 each), mindfulness sessions via Headspace or Calm (up to 10/day), and even declaring as a non-smoker (1,000 in one go). Your annual points total determines your Vitality Status.

You can add or remove cover options at any time via your Vitality member account, and adjust your hospital list and excess. If you ever need to cancel, you can do so without penalty. We'd always recommend speaking to our team first to make sure you don't leave a critical cover gap.
