Eon-health Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal information collected via this website. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZB805312. Our full details are on our Imprint page.

2. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with Eon-health, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity & contact data — name, email address, phone number and postcode, when you submit our contact form.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited and timestamps, collected automatically when you browse the site.

  • Marketing preferences — your choices about whether you'd like to receive updates from us.

We do not collect or store any health insurance quotation, application or policy data. All of that is handled directly by Vitality on their own secure portal.

3. How we use your information

We use the personal data we collect to:

  • Respond to enquiries you submit via our contact form.
  • Operate, secure and improve this website (legitimate interest).
  • Measure aggregated, anonymous usage of our site via analytics cookies.
  • Track affiliate referrals so we can be paid by our insurance partner (only with your consent — see our Cookie Policy).
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing emails and any optional analytics.
  • Contract — when you ask us to respond to an enquiry or take a step before entering a contract.
  • Legitimate interest — for the day-to-day operation, security and improvement of the website, balanced against your rights and freedoms.

5. Sharing your data

We will never sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Our insurance partner (Vitality), only when you choose to click through to their portal.
  • Trusted service providers who help us operate the site (hosting, analytics, email), bound by data processing agreements.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or other third parties where we are legally required to do so.

6. International transfers

All our service providers are either UK-based or operate from within the European Economic Area. Where a transfer outside the UK is unavoidable, we use UK IDTA / Addendum to the EU SCCs to ensure your data is protected to UK GDPR standards.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep contact form enquiries for up to 24 months, after which they are securely deleted. Aggregated analytics are retained for 26 months. We keep records needed to satisfy legal or tax obligations for the periods required by UK law.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data.
  • Request portability of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when changes were last made. Material changes will be flagged via a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
